The much-anticipated annual Green Faire was held at Kronendal on Saturday 27 October. It was a beautiful day in Hout Bay and the school field was a humming mix of families enjoying the stalls, talks and activities on offer. Forming part of the faire was the Planet Warriors Festival, where children from Hout Bay and the surrounding communities were encouraged to get creative in order to save the planet. The festival consisted of an eco fashion show, a design competition, a recycle market and a talent contest. Pictured here are some of the Grade 3 Kronendal learners selling their wares at the recycle market. Among the various goods on offer were African bird feeders, homemade lemonade, bookmarks, newspaper bags and lots more. A fun summer’s day at the faire left all feeling rejuvenated, inspired and ready to tackle waste!
